Rosie’s Recommendations: Peaceable Kingdom | Acorn Soup
Peaceable Kingdom’s Acorn Soup is a phenomenal product for you and your Fawn since it gets you in the kitchen cooking a delicious soup of your Fawn’s choice while socializing and being a healthy collection of ingredients and recipes that are “mostly” part of a whitetail deer’s natural diet. This post goes over the details and my honest review of this game. I do not sponsor this item, I just wanted to gush about it! (I don’t treat it as a game personally with my Fawn, I use it as food to feed her since we use play food instead of real food for saving money and keeping her clean)
Contents and Price - This set comes with 1 cooking pot with a lid, (which also stores everything needed to use it) 24 wooden pieces resembling natural ingredients, a wooden spoon, 8 recipe cards, and the instructions. (We skip the Parents Guide) The ingredients here are flowers, pinecones, leaves, clovers, walnuts, blueberries, dandelions, and berries. The entire list of ingredients were fine except for the walnuts. I was initially weary about my Fawn eating walnuts since they are repellent for whitetail deer, but as of making this post we made the Fall Soup and my Fawn got to try it and she loved it. So it all depends if you want to use walnuts or not, I definitely recommend it since Fawns are willing to eat anything, even some things that would be risky to normal earth deer. The price is decent, $20+ is not that bad considering the value my Fawn is getting out of it though. The Acorn Soup game I bought at Barnes and Noble that day was an impulse buy, but I’m proud of that decision. (I wanted to get it before my Fawn arrived, but didn’t have the money.)
Using at home with my Fawn - When I brought this for the first time at the mall, I wanted to use it at home, but I decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory so my Fawn can have Acorn Soup at the restaurant. We opened everything and made Acorn Soup on a whim and she loved it. We went home that day and had dinner at home. Rosie decided to choose Everything Soup for dinner since that was one of the recipes we could cook with the set. Rosie got to put in the ingredients one at a time as directed, and after we added everything required on the card, I would stir the pot and serve her the pot of soup when she was ready. I absolutely loved the idea of an easy to make lunch or dinner that gets us cooking together without the mess, each card has 3 numbers ordered from one to three on the left side, and each number column has that number of ingredients needed. (Like three clovers, 2 flowers, or one leaf in the Good Luck Soup recipe) You put the ingredients in the pot, stir, and serve. It’s so easy and fun to do with your Fawn, you don’t even need to balance each ingredient on the wooden spoon in order to put them in, just have your Fawn grab onto each ingredient and put it in the pot. I like the versatile possibilities of this product, it makes my life so much easier and I don’t have to worry about anything. The best part about this product is that you don’t have to make just the 8 recipes given to you, you can make your own recipes with ingredients you can use at home! Which makes this game more varied in uses.
Final Verdict - Overall, this game is fantastic for anybody with a Fawn in their family. It gets them eating healthy natural foods, while being social and bonding with their human friend and is definitely worth the price. I give this product a 9/10!
